By using the Solar Calculator applications or web tool (the "Application") published by Liberty Dreams LTD, you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
The Solar Calculator helps you size a solar panel system for your boat, camper van or home. The Application runs entirely on your device or in your browser; all calculations are local. No account, login, email or registration is required.
Sizing a solar panel system depends on multiple factors the Application cannot evaluate: local electrical code, roof or deck orientation and shading, seasonal sun hours at your specific location, panel degradation, battery efficiency and temperature coefficients, charge controller sizing, inverter efficiency, distance and gauge of cabling, expected load profile, and many others.
The results provided by the Application are indicative estimates for educational purposes only. Before installing any solar system you must:
Liberty Dreams LTD accepts no responsibility for damage, injury, fire, electrical failure or any incident resulting from the use of the Application's results.
Liberty Dreams LTD grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Application for educational and calculation purposes. Not permitted: reselling, redistributing, sublicensing, reverse engineering, or commercial use without written authorisation.
The Application does not send personal data to any server. If you accept the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 and Mautic for anonymous analytics and marketing. For details see our Privacy Policy.
The Application does not currently include advertising. If advertising is added in a future version, this section and the Privacy Policy will be updated in advance.
Liberty Dreams LTD may release updates to the Application to fix bugs, improve features or adapt to new platform requirements (Android, web standards). Updates are governed by these same Terms unless expressly stated otherwise.
The web companion may load third-party content such as Google Analytics and Mautic (only after consent). Their use is governed by their respective privacy policies. Liberty Dreams LTD relies on the standard Data Processing Agreements incorporated by reference in those providers' terms of service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Liberty Dreams LTD does not warrant that the Application is error-free or that its operation will be uninterrupted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. For users in the European Union, the mandatory provisions of EU consumer law also apply. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of the United Kingdom, without prejudice to consumer rights to bring proceedings in the courts of their habitual residence.
Liberty Dreams LTD may update these Terms. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document. If changes are material, we will notify visibly before they take effect.
